We went to this place and it was a boat loch. Usually you’d think it was a place to lock up boats – but no! It’s not that. It’s so boats can get to lower parts. They filter up the water so the boat is on the same level and the next platform of water and then the boat drives through then the water filters down and it keeps doing that.

We went to a picnic, we saw some castles and we saw a band. The band was pretty good except I really wish they spoke English so we could understand them.

Today we packed our bags again and left the hotel. The hotel was pretty nice. My favourite part of the hotel was the food. I had a jug of hot chocolate all to myself.

We had a delicious dinner for lunch. It was awesome. And we also got ice cream at the end!

We packed up from the apartment and we took the Eurostar and picked up our car (and drove to Orleans).

We enjoyed playing in the little water park and getting really wet and hugging mum and dad and trying to get them wet and sitting on the fountains so our pants got wet.

We went to Joan of Arc house. A girl of Nick’s age saved the country but the funniest part was she had to die and burn to death. And she could listen to god and he told her to win the war.

We went to Busby’s house and we saw this little kid they were looking after – it was Leno. We played together with him and he’s actually the bravest kid I’ve known for a two year old – he cut himself with a razor and he stayed calm and I would would be the one crying if I had done that to myself.

We looked around the house and we saw her toy museum. It was pretty cool. I liked the little car (toy pedal car that belonged to Busby’s father when he was a child in the 1900s). I‘ve always wanted one of those.

Busby’s garden was pretty nice we played around in it.

Then we went for a curry. The curry was just delicious but not as yummy as mum’s.

Mum and I went on a double decker boat. On the bottom is of course shelter, some tables and a cafe. We saw tons of bridges including Tower Bridge. We also saw a whole bunch of boats. There was also my favourite building that looks like it’s being built – it looks like a triangle. (The shard).

When we went I the castle yesterday I got a coin. It’s like heads and tails on the coin like Australia but this one has a castle and a knights helmet. Heads goes with helmets and tails is the castle.

I’ve enjoyed having nerf wars with my cousin and brother. London is pretty nice. I like the tubes. They are nice.

We went to the Tower of London. We thought it was a big tower like the Eiffel Tower but it’s a big castle. My favourite thing there was the archers slits that can move so the archers can shoot people better. I learnt that if the birds leave the castle the whole entire castle will collapse. That seems pretty weird – they’re just a bunch of birds!

(Michael is referring to the legend of the ravens, that are currently in a cage next to the white tower. legend has it that if the ravens ever leave the tower, the kingdom will collapse).

Well when were still in Paris and we were at our apartment, we started packing up, and then we went to the train station, onto a train, and then we were on it for 3 hours which was actually funner than it would look. It was awesome because you could walk around the train. The best thing about it was we had to keep opening doors to get to the cafe place. At the toilets there were two buttons on the floor – one to flush the toilet and one to make water come out in the sink to wash your hands.

When we got to London I said to mum, when we go to the next country, will we go on a train again? And mum said yes! Yah! Victory for me. At the train station we had sushi train – my favourite!!! And then we caught a special train that goes under the ground (the tube).

Then we went to St. Paul’s and listened to my cousin singing in a choir singing evensong. Then we walked across a special bridge called the millennium bridge across the Thames and we had pizza. Then we went back to my cousins house and he has lots of nerf guns. We had a nerf war.

We went to the Eiffel Tower. It used to the home of Mr Eiffel. It didn’t look very tall from the bottom. There were lots of big queues until we got into the double decker lift and then we went to the middle and very top but I was starting to cry because it was a bit scary.

We also went to the Louvre. We saw a statue of a winged lady called Winged Victory. When we looked at the mummies and Dad and I looked at how they had booby traps to catch people.

I gave mum and dad a great massage and they gave me an ice cream. We went to Notre Dame and afterwards I bought a little music box from a little shop. We went on the metro for the first time. It’s kind of cool because you have to pull the lever up to open the door. Then we went to Sacre Coeur and it had lots of steps and it was hard. I didn’t like the pictures there. We had a picnic with yummy food, near a carousel and a nice cream shop. My legs were very tired. Then we went to Museum D’Orsay. My favourite part of the day was getting a strawberry ice cream with a lollie surf in it.

When we went on the plane it took us like 30 hours to actually get here which was quite annoying. Paris is nice because they have delicious food here. The Eiffel Tower is the tallest thing. It’s pretty cool it’s like a big statue like the Statue of Liberty.

Seeing the soldiers at Bastille Day and seeing all the military people and tanks was cool and I can’t believe I saw a real army tanks. We saw little fighter jets with smoke coming out of them in the colours of the French flag. We had a ham roll for lunch and then we went to the Louvre.
